Besançon
With its nearly a quarter million inhabitants, is located close to the border with Switzerland and is the principal city of the Franche-Comté region. Besançon's Vauban citadel has been listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Vesoul
The capital of the Haute-Saône department, in the region of Franche-Comté is home to the PSA (Peugeot - Citroën) factory. Belfort
Located on the Savoureuse river, on the strategically important natural route between the Rhine and the Rhône. Accounting for its suburbs and satellite towns, Belfort forms the largest metropolitan area in Franche-Comté region, with an urban population of 300,000 inhabitants.
